Maximum support for local stock car driver
Maxmedia is pleased to announce its support for local stock car driver Gareth Hamer, who is making a return to stock car racing after competing as a youth.
Gareth, a well-known figure in local motorsport circles, started his obsession with motorsport at the age of 14 when he built his own mini stock-racing car with the help of his father Ian.
Inspired by the recent success of the BBC1 programme “Gears and Tears”, and in remembrance of his father, who sadly died of cancer 10 years ago, Gareth decided that it was now or never and is returning to the sport.
Gareth said: “I wanted to make a return to racing as quickly as possible, so the support I have been given from Maxmedia has allowed me to accelerate my plans. I am going to use the remaining 2011 season to complete testing and practice before racing a full season in 2012.”
